CDR FoodLab - Quality Control Systems for Food & Beverage

The Innovative Solution for Food and Beverage Quality Control

The CDR FoodLab product range is used to carry out quality control analysis of several food and beverages such as edible oils, fruit, water, vegetables, tomatoes, fats, eggs, wine, beer, milk and other dairy products.

The systems of the FoodLab range include a photometric analyser and a series of pre-filled and ready to use reagent kits developed by the research laboratories of CDR.

All the systems are easy to use, do not require calibration, technical support or maintenance, are compliant with reference methods, and eliminate the need to prepare the samples in advance.

Advantages of CDR systems

  • Innovative and easy test methods
  • Pre-filled single use cuvettes
  • Only micro quantities of sample (1-100ul), used without any or very minimal preparation required
  • Analysers are supplied already calibrated
  • Easy test execution even by untrained users. This allows placement of the system near the production line to carry out real time quality control
  • Maintenance-free

Analysis Instruments in the FoodLab Range

  • FoodLab Touch designed for analysis in food like milk, eggs, tomatoes, vegetable puree, cheese, dairy products and fats.
  • FoodLab Touch and Junior for fats and oils designed to measure the Free Fatty Acids (FFA)/Acidity, Peroxide Value (PV), Soaps, Anisidine value (AnV) in oils and fats
  • OxiTester designed to measure the Acidity (FFA), Peroxide Value (PV) and Polyphenols/Oil Stability Index (OSI) in vegetable oil like olive oil, avocado oil, seeds oil etc.
  • PalmOilTester designed to measure acidity (FFA), Iodine Value (IV), DOBI & carotene content, Peroxide Value (PV), Anisidine Value (AnV) in palm oil
  • WineLab Touch and Junior designed for analysis of Wine and Must
  • BeerLab Touch and Junior designed for analysis of Beer
  • MiniFood designed to determine the Acidity (FFA) and Peroxide Value in olive oil
  • FoodLab Junior for Milk Urea Nitrogen (MUN) in milk

FoodLab Method

Every system from the FoodLab range enables you to perform a wide panel of tests thus eliminating the need for purchasing and learning how to use several analytical instruments to control the quality of food and drinks.

Each test is performed by dispensing a predetermined amount of sample in the cuvette. A colour change then occurs due to the reaction of the sample with the reagents.

The result of the test is printed immediately after the completion of the photometric reading, in its unit of measure.

The systems from the FoodLab range are used worldwide not only in analytical laboratories and production lines in the food industry, but also in small cheese factories, dairy farms, cattle breeding farms, oil mills, wine and oil producing companies, egg producers, and testinglaboratories.
