The Biotinylated Oligo(dT) Probe hybridizes with high efficiency to the 3' poly(A) region present in most mature eukaryotic mRNA species. Hybrids can then be captured using streptavidin-coated paramagnetic beads, such as those provided in the PolyATtract mRNA Isolation Systems (Promega Cat.# Z5200, Z5210, Z5300, Z5310) and PolyATtract System 1000 (Promega Cat.# Z5400, Z5420), allowing for the isolation of an essentially pure fraction of mature mRNA after a single round of magnetic separation.
