Bioneer AccuRapid Cell-Free Protein Expression Kit

Recombinant full-length human SRPK2 was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. SRPK2 is a member of the serine/arginine (SR) protein-specific kinase family that are cell cycle-regulated protein kinases which phosphorylate SR domain-containing proteins in nuclear speckles and mediate the pre-mRNA splicing events. SRPK2 knock down results in hypophosphorylation of the serine/arginine domain-containing human PRP28 protein thereby destabilizing PRP28 association with the tri-snRNP. RNAi-mediated depletion in HeLa cells showed that SRPK2 is essential for cell viability, and it is required for spliceosomal B complex formation. Kinase Enzyme System contains: SRPK2 Kinase, 10ug (Human, recombinant, full-length); MW: ~135kDa. Native Swine Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) Substrate, (1mg/ml). 5X Reaction Buffer; DTT, 0.1M.
