Bioneer AccuRapid Cell-Free Protein Expression Kit

Full-length rhCK1 epsilon was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. CK1 epsilon is a member of the CK1 family of serine/threonine protein kinases. CK1 epsilon is a regulator of Yes-associated protein (YAP) transcription coactivator, which is a key regulator of organ size and a candidate human oncogene. CK1 epsilon is activated by CCK2R, which phosphorylates PKD2 at Ser244. Phosphorylation of PKD2 leads to its nuclear accumulation and efficient phosphorylation of nuclear PKD2 substrates in human gastric cancer cells (1). CKI epsilon can phosphorylate topoisomerase (topo) IIalpha at serine-1106, which regulates the enzyme activity and sensitivity to topo II-targeted drugs (2). Kinase Enzyme System contains: Kinase: CK1 epsilon, 10ug (Human, recombinant full-length). MW: ~72kDa. Substrate: Casein, dephosphorylated; native protein purified from bovine milk. Other: Reaction Buffer, DTT. CK1 epsilon NCBI Database Entry: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/1454/.
