Recombinant human TGF beta R2 (190-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 cells using an N-terminal GST tag. TGF beta R2 is a member of the TGF beta receptor subfamily and is a ser/thr protein kinase. TGF beta R2-induced protein phosphorylation plays a key role in signal transduction that leads to mitogenic responses. The TGF beta R2 receptor transmits signals from the cell surface to the nucleus and provides instructions for making transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta type II receptor. Mutations in TGF beta R2 gene have been associated with Marfan Syndrome, Loeys-Deitz Aortic Aneurysm Syndrome and the development of various types of tumors. Kinase Enzyme System contains: Kinase: TGF beta R2, 10ug (Human, recombinant full-length). MW: ~68kDa. Substrate: Native Swine Myelin Basic Protein (MBP). Other: Reaction Buffer, DTT.
