Recombinant human fusion protein FGFR1OP (1-173)-FGFR1 (429-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 cells using an N-terminal GST tag. FGFR1 (also known as FLT2) is a member of the Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor family that constitute a family of four membrane-spanning tyrosine kinases (FGFR1-4) which serve as high-affinity receptors for 17 growth factors (FGF1-17). A t(6;8)(q27;p11) chromosomal translocation, fusing the FGFR1OP gene and the FGFR1 gene, has been found in cases of myeloproliferative disorder.
