Hitachi LUCREST

The Hitachi  LUCREST survey meter has a large clear LCD display which shows both digital numbers as well as a moving bar.

The LUCREST has a time constant value button on the detector grip which allows you to choose between a short time constant for quick response and a  long time constant for sensitivity.

When the dose rate changes it is shown as a digital numerical value as well as a marked position on the bar graph. The square bar on the chart means that the dose rate is stable. When the value is unstable, the bar shape will change to another shape and move along the bar. This is handy when looking for dose concentrations in tissue or for a source of contamination.

The beta detector from Hitachi is designed with a robust surface of detectors which is a Hitachi patent ("Rugged Scinti"). The gamma detector has both high sensitivity and good energy dependence with energy compensation. With the alpha/beta detector both the alpha and beta values are shown simultaneously.

Hitachi PDR-303

PDR-303 is a well-designed Gamma survey meter for ambient dose rate measurement with a comfortable compact shape and measuring only  (W) 63 x (D) 38 x (H) 201 mm weighing about 200 g.

The unit has a silicon semiconductor detector and is splash proof.

Having a TFT color LCD assists the user in reading the values either from the digital readout or from the analogue style display.

The alarm features both visual display and audio alert to inform users when the dose rate exceeds the preset level. Request more information.

Thermo RadEye G20

The RadEye G20 are excellent gamma survey meters with a flat energy response curve from 17 keV to 3 MeV according to ambient equivalent dose H*(10).

The devices are suitable for dose rate measurements for X-ray scanner and for medical isotopes including I-125.

Features include:
" Energy compensated measurements from low energy to high energy
" Low level measurements are easier and more stable than Ion Chambers
" Light weight (300 g), excellent grip with and without gloves
" Rugged and compact design, thick rubber protective cover

RTI Survey Meter

The RTI Survey Meter, pressurized ion chamber, provides highly sensitive measurements of exposure or dose.

It can simultaneously display the rate and either integrated value or highest rate (peak) seen by the instrument. The integrated value or peakrate can be reset using one of the four convenient front panel mounted buttons.
The 256K colour display provides an optimized presentation of the data and is accompanied with icons informing the user of the active functions and instrument status.

All logged data can be written in csv format to a standard USB thumb drive for convenient retrieval by a PC spreadsheet or database program. Alarms are manifested using colour changes on.
